“Ice Ice Baby”

Captain’s log…Winter Supplemental:

It is another world deep inside ice.

A temporary, volatile world trapped in space with cyclones, random leaves and dark cold skies.

Bubbles like frozen meteors, red matter…

are held suspended in the sky.

There is another world locked deep inside the ice, should you take the time to look.

Mr Tumnes? Mr Tumnes?

Oh, and with a bit of food coloring you can create your very own red hot meteors in the ice.

I just hope this poor sago will pull through better then the dinosaurs did when the last major one hit!  I have my doubts.

Who knew what food coloring could do?! Don’t you just love the ice opportunities?

    Hi Gail.
The ice and snow today created all manner of activities, and fueled the imagination for us all!

Whew, what a roller coaster our gardens have been on. I will have some more snow pics up tomorrow but am studiously avoiding looking at the ghostly, leaf-dropping Mexican weeping bamboo. If I lose another one of those expensive plants….well, let’s just say I will be, ahem, put out.

    Haven’t they just Pam!

Lots of casualties are lying sad in the Patch at the moment, especially Agave americana! Mine really took a beating the last few days! And yes, all my bamboos are looking very peekish as well. Cold fingers crossed they will rebound. Good luck with yours.

It got down to 13 degrees here. Even the cabbages, broccoli and carrots are wilted. I have ignored the rest of the garden for fear of what I will find. It is rather neet to stand on the ice in the big pond and see the fish swimming underneath.

I forgot to mention at the you know what, the other day, that I have several Lechugilla agaves and some kind of column yucca that I am going to toss or give away. If you want just let me know.

    Hi Bob.
I have had the same with my greens and carrots…now lying flat in my containers. My fish are motionless at the very bottom of my stock tank, breathing once every couple of minutes, I communicated what was going on to my halflings and got a delayed response…
“Have they turned into zombies daddy?” …What?
Yes Bob, would love a Lechugilla agave, and also yes to the yucca.
    A rather greedy,
    ESP.
